Thursday is the new Friday

I am ready for the weekend...I took tomorrow off work and am ready to enjoy the view!!! I just hope this June Gloom stays away...I have a great day planned tomorrow: Ella Moss/Splendid sample sale, lunch with my love, going away party for a co-worker, going to see my student's in the school play Sessical and then a night out with friends!! I cant wait...I need a break......

...I have been so crazy busy with life! I started back at school for the summer session (for my teaching credential), I forgot what it's like to be in school. I work all day with my little one's...who I simply adore, then I come home to study...AHHHH! School ends for my student's on the 18th so I only have two more weeks. They have come so far this last year, I am so excited for them and their achievements!! I have been putting together photo albums for each of them with pictures from through out the year. My oh my how they have grown!!! It is so fun and I wouldn't trade my job for the world!!

Surprise!!!!

I threw a Surprise Party for my wonderful boyfriend this past weekend! And oh what a weekend it was!! It was so great...he really had no idea! I didn't really get to see him all last week so I wasn't able to spill the beans. The night began with a planned harbor cruise with his family that he knew about. We spent time cruising around the harbor in Newport, drank some magaritas and had a blast. Then we headed over to his favorite restaurant right on the water. It was so great we were able to pull the boat right up. What he didn't know is that about 30 of our closest friends were waiting upstairs for a huge surprise. He was so surprised! We had such a great time!

Girlie Weekend Review

This past weekend reminded me what great friends I had (not that I needed reminding). The boyfriend was out of town (along with all of my friends boyfriends), so we had an all out girls weekend! We went out and had a blast dancing, laughing and enjoying each others company.

The weekend was so fun with the girls, but I was so happy to have my baby come back on Sunday. I am looking forward to a wonderful week, I know work is going to be busy...but I am keeping a positive outlook. Hope everyone is having a great week!

Relaxing, Rings and Ramblings....

It's Friday! Yay!! I ended up taking the day off work, due to several appointments. So I am getting an early start to the weekend! 

My love is gone this weekend to Santa Barbara with some of his friends, and I have several girls coming down to visit. I am so excited they are coming down...just hoping the weather is nice! I always have a hard time when Chris goes out of town but I am thankful for my girls to keep me company.

I got home early from my appointments today so I decided to relax and make some rings. I taught myself a few months ago when I saw a friend wearing a ring and said, "I can make that". I bought all the materials and have been experimenting with wire wrapping ever since. It is so relaxing to make these rings. This is not one I made today (but I had a picture of it). I am thinking of making some for my girlfriends for our girls weekend!  Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!

Kinder Korner

I love my job!! I look forward to the funny stories and silly comments made by my students each day! They make me smile and always take my mind off whatever is bothering me.

A few days ago during recess duty I was talking with two girls from my class. This is the conversation we had:

Girlie 1: Miss C, where is your baby?

Me: What?

Girlie 2: You know...where is your kid?

Me: Girls, I don't have a baby yet.

Girlie 1: But you are a grown up and have a job, you are supposed to have a baby!

Me: I don't have a baby, I'm not married...

Girlie 2: You're....You're.......(thinking with her finger tapping on her chin)...You're.... You're SINGLE!!!!!

I was laughing so hard! I was curious as what was to come out of her mouth...it was so funny! I told my boyfriend thank goodness I'm in a relationship or I could have developed a small complex about what my 5 year old little friend had shouted at me. Haha!

Britney Spears...AMAZING!!! The concert was incredible! She has made her comeback...Britney's back!

I went to the concert last night at the Staples Center in L.A with my three best girlfriends! We have been friends for ever and have so many memories together! We all live in different areas now and look forward to times like this when we can all get together and be silly together! We danced, we laughed, we sang and just had fun!

The performance was awesome by both the Pussy Cat Dolls and Miss Britney! I loved the Circus theme, what a genius idea!

Girls Night Out

I ended up having the clothes swap last night. It was a blast and very successful!! There were 5 of us girls who gathered in my living room with all our unwanted clothes.  We emptied out our bags and proceeded to show off our goods until someone claimed it! It was so fun and exciting to go "free" shopping! I came out with a new pair of jeans, some shirts and several dresses. I am already putting some of my new duds to use today! I highly suggest a clothes swap!!

Afterwards we headed out for a little girls night. We went out for Taco Tuesday...$5.00 all you can eat tacos! What a bargain night!!! I love hanging out with girlfriends! A great night of clothes, laughs, tacos, dancing and fun!!!

Happy Monday! Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend! I had an amazing time spent with family and friends...I couldn't have asked for a better weekend! Saturday I attended a Yacht party...the pictures explain it all, it was a blast!

The party was so fun and the weather was beautiful! On Easter Sunday the boyfriend and I drove to our parents (who live 5 minutes apart), to go to church and have brunch. Church was amazing and so uplifting! Brunch was to follow and it is always so nice to have both of our families together!

I did a little spring cleaning this past weekend. I have so many clothes to get rid of... but I thought I would propose a clothes swap to some of my friends. The clothes swap will be taking place tonight. I think its a good idea, we'll see how the outcome is! 

I'm Back!!!

I have been gone for a while...but now I'm back. Things have been so crazy! I have had a lot going on the last 2 months! I could go on and on about what has been going on to keep me away, but instead I will stay in the present! 

T minus one day until the school I work at is on spring break! Yay! That means a week of enjoying the sunshine. I can't wait! This is how I have been spending the beautiful weekends lately:

I have discovered the best new band! Kings of Leon...amazing songs and an amazing voice! The lead singer has such a raspy soulful voice, I cant get enough! It's one of those CD's you just keep listening to over and over! The best part is my amazing boyfriend got me tickets to their concert for Valentine's day (even though we said no gifts!). The concert is not until August, so until then I will continue to listen to his wonderful voice! 

I have the week off work and it has been so nice to relax. The school that I work at takes a week off in February for Ski Week. Since I live in Southern California many of the kids were taking time off school to go skiing around President's Day. So they decided to give the kids a whole week off to do so. I never had this growing up, but I'm not going to lie I have really enjoyed my "Ski Week" vacation! I am going to go home to my parents house tomorrow and spend some quality time with my family and girlfriends. I am so excited, I can't wait!

Rainy Monday

It's raining and pouring outside...I have the day off work and I plan on watching...

I got all the season DVD's on Black Friday and have been waiting for a day to relax and enjoy me some Carrie, Miranda, Samantha, Charlotte and of course Big! I just love rainy days when I am inside and cuddled up!

Girls Weekend!

It felt so good to have an all out girls weekend with your best friends! All of my best friends live about and hour and a half away from me so I really cherish the weekends we spend together.  We have so much fun together!!! I had the best time eating, dancing, shopping, laughing, talking, joking and simply being around my wonderful friends!! I love them all so much and are so blessed to have each on of them in my life!

Kinder Korner

I work as a Kindergarten teacher at a private school and absolutely love it! I am so happy to go to work everyday and have the best students! When I get home everyday my boyfriend asks me to tell him "something good that happened today". I look forward everyday to sharing my great stories and experiences!

This week was no different...

I had a Little One up at my desk and she was looking at a picture of my boyfriend and me.  She proceeds to ask me "Miss Sunshine, how do you get a boyfriend?". I was so surprised I replied with, "why do you ask Little M?".  Little M said, "I just want to know how you get a boyfriend to fall in love with you?".  I thought her little question was so cute and couldn't wait to share with my boyfriend when I got home last night (and share it with all of you!)

A Wonderful Weekend

This weekend has been so fun and relaxing! I spent the weekend in Laguna Beach with my boyfriend, his sister and her fiance. We really didn't have any plans, but the time we spent together was amazing! Friday night we went to a fairly new restaurant in Laguna called the Lumberyard. The food was amazing but the company was even better! It was a rainy weekend, so it was so nice to be inside and dry.  This weekend was a far cry from last weekend, when I was laying out on the beach in my bathing suit!! Crazy California weather!! 

On Saturday we looked at several houses for sale around the area and went to some fabulous restaurants for some cocktails and apps.  We started off at K'ya on their rooftop deck, headed over to Salt Creek Grill and ended up at The Ritz to watch the sunset.  The day was amazing it had rained the night before so the air was so crisp and nice! We went back to their house for some spa time and Catch Phrase (best game ever!!).

All in all this was just what I needed this weekend! It was a long week at work and the fun times had this weekend was the perfect way to fix that! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Sultry Girl

I am without a voice this week :(. It decided to leave me on Saturday and has yet to return. I sound very manly and "sultry" (as I was told). Since I cant talk...I will blog! I went to the desert this weekend with my boyfriend for his work conference. It was so relaxing and wonderful! The past weekend was filled with amazing dinners, massages, and dancing. What more could a girl want?!?! I am looking forward to this up coming weekend. My sister is coming to visit me in Newport and I couldn't be more excited! She is the most amazing sister and person I know! She just turned 21 a few months ago and this will be the first time she has come to visit since. I can't wait to take her out and about this weekend!
